Crowns, Bridges and Dentures
Dental Crowns
A crown, sometimes known as a cap, fits over a damaged tooth to restore its appearance. The crown will fit over your natural tooth, preserving it from further damage and strengthening the tooth.
You may need a crown if your tooth has cracked, suffered severe decay or been weakened by fillings. Crowns can also be used to cover discoloured fillings or following root canal treatment to protect your tooth from further infection.
Dental Bridges
A dental bridge is a false tooth, used as an alternative to a denture or implants when there are fewer teeth to replace or the missing teeth are on one side of the mouth.
The false tooth is fitted between two crowns which serve to anchor the bridge and keep it in place.
Dentures
Just because you've lost a tooth or teeth, doesn't mean that you should lose your confidence. If you're missing teeth, a complete or partial denture can restore function as well as your appearance.
A well made denture will help you eat and speak better and will support the muscles of the face to prevent facial muscles sagging owing to missing teeth.
A complete denture can be used to replace all of the teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Partial dentures fill the gaps left by missing teeth and are attached to your natural teeth using metal or tooth coloured clasps. If you're looking for something other than dentures we also offer bridges and implants.
